Incense
At temples, people burn incense and rub the smoke on themselves. the smoke is believed to heal.
Kiyomizu
Our first festival was at Kiyomizu Temple. There was a parade of people in Heian period clothing. The Heian period was 800-1200 ad. There was a long paper dragon and people with funny hats.
